This training course offers operators of abrasive wheels from all types of industry the opportunity to be trained to the requirements of PROVISION & USE of WORK EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS (PUWER), including practical training.

The cost of the above course is £80 + VAT per person.We can also hold courses in company and on other dates if required.

Another batch of our current apprentices complete their first year off-the-job training with us today and go back to their respective companies on Monday. We wish them all the best in their future apprenticeship years and beyond.

After delays to completion of their training due to the COVID-19 situation and closure of the centre, around half of our first year apprentices completed their off-the-job training with us on Friday and are now back with their employers. We wish them good luck with the rest of their apprenticeships and future careers.
The remaining apprentices will complete their training in their specialised areas soon and will return to their employers in due course.

A reminder that ATG will not be closing for the usual 3 weeks summer break today and nearly all staff will be working over this period. Due to the COVID-19 situation and the Centre having to close, our first year apprentices off-the-job training was delayed and staff have been getting the apprentices back on track with this since re-opening on 29 June.

A couple of updates:

To complete the training for our current 1st year apprentices, the Centre will not be closing for the usual 3 weeks summer break this year.

Our new intake of apprentices this year will start with us on Monday 7 September 2020. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the start date for the new intake has had to be put back from the normal mid-August start.

For all 2020 applicants, please remember to check e-mails regularly and answer any telephone calls you receive in case this is companies trying to get in touch with you regarding an apprenticeship.

As mentioned before, if you decide you are no longer interested in an apprenticeship for whatever reason, staying on at school, got another job or such like, then please let us know so we can update our records to avoid wasting anyone’s time. Our member companies have and will be accessing our online portal of successful applications in the coming weeks so please ensure you check your e-mails regularly (including spam/junk folders) and also answer any telephone calls you receive as this could be companies trying to get in touch with you regarding an apprenticeship.

We are pleased to say the Centre is now re-open and welcome back the first year apprentices today to complete their first year off-the-job training.

We are pleased to announce that following Government guidelines and a Risk Assessment undertaken, all instructional training staff and first year apprentices will return to operation on Monday 29 June to complete their first year off-the-job training.

There will be skeleton office staff in from Monday as well with the remaining staff continuing to work remotely from home.

Just a reminder to all applicants for this year’s intake to check your e-mails regularly and respond to any you receive promptly, with the same applying to any telephone calls you may receive.  This could be companies who are interested in your application trying to get in touch with you regarding an apprenticeship.  Companies will have access to our online portal of applications over the coming weeks and therefore may be in touch over this period. If you no longer wish to be considered for this year’s intake, please get in touch ASAP so we can update our records.  You can do this by e-mailing vanessa@atgltd.co.uk

We have been in touch with your employers following the most recent Government guidelines with regards to ATG re-opening.

You will hear directly from your employers but will receive detailed information from us via e-mail with regards to the procedures in place, in due course.

We are pleased to say that our recruitment process for this year is now finalised.  As advised at your test and/or interview, our member companies will be invited to look at all the successful applications and get full information on any applicants they are interested in.  This will be done via an online portal this year due to the Centre still being closed as per Government COVID-19 guidelines.

Please remember to check your e-mails regularly and answer any telephone calls you receive as this may be companies trying to get in touch with you regarding an apprenticeship.  If you are invited for an interview, confirm the details with the company and follow any instructions from them.
