Our interviews have now been completed and our online portal of successful applications is now available for all companies looking to take on apprentices to view. Please keep an eye on your e-mails (checking junk/spam folders) and answer any telephone calls you may receive as this could be companies trying to get in touch with you regarding their own interviews for apprenticeships.

If you are contacted and asked to attend an interview, please ensure you do so or let companies know if you cannot make it for whatever reason.

ATG are closed for the summer break from Monday 19 July – Friday 6 August (inclusive), re-opening Monday 9 August. E-mails from companies regarding the portal will be monitored during this time.

We will be in touch with any applicants who may have been successful in gaining an apprenticeship when we re-open.

ABRASIVE WHEELS COURSE – FRIDAY 28 MAY 2021 – **3 spaces available**

We are currently taking bookings for the above course. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the maximum number per course is currently 4.

The 1/2 day course is to be held at our premises on FRIDAY 28 MAY 2021 9:00 am—12:30 pm.

This training course offers operators of abrasive wheels from all types of industry the opportunity to be trained to the requirements of PROVISION & USE of WORK EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS (PUWER).

The cost of the above course is £80 + VAT per person.

We are now accepting applications for the Engineering Modern Apprenticeship intake 2021. Although our intake start date is usually every August, due to the COVID situation this is most likely to be postponed, but we will keep any applicants updated on this and also post any news here.

Please note that we are no longer accepting applications for the Pathways Apprenticeship program.However, we are now accepting applications for the Modern Apprenticeship 2021 intake. Although August of each year is our normal intake start date, due to the COVID situation, this will be postponed this year and a start date will be confirmed in due course. All the information on the Modern Apprenticeship is on our website www.atgltd.co.uk and you can apply via our website – just follow the onscreen instructions, remembering to save the application form to your own files, saving the completed form before submitting it to us. In the hope that things get back to some form of “normal”, we are currently taking bookings for our 3 day First Aid at Work course.

The course will run on TUESDAY 4—THURSDAY 6 MAY 2021 at our centre.  The course runs from 9.00 am—4.00 pm.  The cost of the course is £220.00 plus VAT per person

This course offers personnel requiring training to become Certificated First Aiders for the purposes of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

There is still time to apply for the Pathways Apprenticeship March 2021 intake. We advise anyone interested in applying to do so as soon as possible (there are limited spaces available), so that we can complete the recruitment process and be ready to confirm, if relevant, the ** March (see below) start date as soon as we can.

** We are expecting the start date for the next batch of Pathway to Apprenticeship trainees to be in March. However, this is dependent on the COVID-19 restrictions and advice from the Scottish Government. If the restrictions are not further relaxed, then we will be forced to postpone the start date. We will however continue to post updates regarding this when we have more information.

Angus Training Group, in partnership with SDS, is still recruiting for both the January and March 2021 intake for the Pathways for Apprenticeship program.

The Pathways to Apprenticeship Program for Engineering will run for 36 weeks and successfully enrolled trainees will be paid an allowance to train to SCQF Level 5 in Engineering. Those trainees who successfully complete the 36 weeks Pathways to Apprenticeship program will then hopefully progress on to become Modern Apprentices in Engineering with us too! To be eligible to apply you must be:

18 or under

Unemployed but not in receipt of benefits

NOT in full-time education.
